In the Community

For 30 years, as part of the Goldfields Community, we have sponsored events, services and sporting and community associations as an investment in the people and the towns where we live and work.

Sponsorships range from art and business awards, to arts festivals, education programs and sports teams and events, including the Goldfields Football League.

The bank also sponsors the annual Business of the Year Award hosted by the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

If you would like to have your event, team, school or community group to be considered for sponsorship, please contact Goldfields Money or Click here for a Sponsorship Application form.

Rotary Club of Boulder

Goldfields Money has had the pleasure of making a donation to the Boulder Rotary this year. Money raised through Rotary’s fundraising efforts goes towards helping many  families and individuals not only to meet essential daily needs, but to work toward a brighter future with programs in youth development, education, elderly assistance, health and sport.

GoldFields Money congratulates Diane Lukasiewich as the 2016 Goldfields Business Person of the Year.

"Diane attributes the success of her business to the support she receives from the Goldfields community.  But, what is truly impressive, is how much Diane gives back to the community.

She buys local and provides sponsorships to a number of different events and sporting groups. She is a board member of the Goldfields-Esperance GP Network which aims to improve the health and wellbeing of our communities.

Diane’s one-on-one staff mentoring and training has created a truly passionate and experienced Goldfields team.

Women’s Leadership Forum – Kalgoorlie

On the 30th July 2016, Brigitte Flight and Janice Marcon attended the Women’s Leadership Forum in Kalgoorlie.

The event hosted a number of fantastic speakers who have exceptional achievements under their belt.

The key takeaways from the event from Brigitte and Janice’s perspective were:

- There are some incredible women who in the face of adversity and great challenges have risen up and achieved some amazing things.

- Each of them put one foot in front of the other and continued to persevere until they achieved their dreams or overcame adversity.

A key point is that the workforce needs the diversity of women in it. Women bring a different dimension to the workplace. To do this successfully, women need to consciously understand their work/life balance – which often is easier said than done.

Dr Verbeeten was passionate about us finding the right balance between work and family life. Striving to achieve the goals we set in our working life whilst still managing to be the parent and partner that we choose to be
Finally the common theme was for “US” women to support and encourage each other and help  each other to succeed

Goldfields Money was really pleased to support this successful forum. We sponsored the door prize and the lucky winner was Danielle Dredge, Danielle picked up the $250 dinner voucher to the fantastic Cava Restaurant (right near our office in Egan Street). Danielle is a Year 11 student who was invited to attend the day by Rotary. Clearly a lucky young woman!!
